Christmas 2011

I never thought updating my blog would be such a hard work to do! I have millions of things to write about, but somehow ended up writing nothing for weeks! I need time, time, and more time!

Anyways, a quick post about my Christmas parties.

On the eve night I went to a home party at Por chan's with other AFS Japan students. It's been a while since we all gather up like this. We called it "The lonely bachelor Christmas party" LOL

Our lovely host Por Chan created the cutest Christmas tree ever!
The sweet treats! All outstandingly YUMMY!
Our members (there were a few more who came late that night)

With the Mickey Mouse party hat.

It was a very warm and fuzzy Christmas party. We enjoyed chit-chatting, eating, drinking, singing and dancing (to both Christmas songs and party music hahaha) Thank you all for the lovely time! My stomach was filled with joy and happiness and the treats I didn't have breakfast and lunch the next day. LOL

On Christmas day I went shopping (again..) and meeting my friends from Japanese major, Chulalongkorn University at Central World department store. It is one of the most famous places to take photos in this festive time of year.
favorite shot with the big red glasses

Santa baby, won't you give me this lovely reindeer! (Though I can't drive)

Actually they created a theme for the gathering that everyone must wear red, green or white, as it's Christmas but I couldn't stay 'til dinner so I wore my new strapless dress from MNG  without caring about the theme LOL.

In the evening I had dinner with the familiar gourmet gangsters, my seniors from Tohoku University.  We somehow made a decision that SUSHI is the best food for Christmas. LOL The place is called Sushi Cyu and carnival at all seasons place. The leader of our gang, P'mee suggested we must give it a try.

After this meal we all know why he loves it!
The fresh ingredients, which they claim being transported directly from Japan's famous fish market Tsukiji were fully topped, way too much on a donburi (bowl rice) we almost couldn't find the rice itself! The taste was awesomely fresh and great! Ten thumps up for this place!

And to end our silent night, holy night we went to a newly opened bar call "speakeasy" at Hotel Muse.  This boutique hotel captured my attention since I heard about its colonial style interior. As expected, it was truly stunning!

View from the bar, located at 24th floor.

We three ordered a bottle of Rose. It was great.

Night view of the concrete jungle called "Bangkok"
Me and P'noon. She flew back from Singapore where she works to spend holiday with her family and us. It was so nice to see her!

The most impressive impression I had with this hotel was the pool located on 19th floor. Infinite pool type with clear glasses for you to see the view.
The highlight is the little lights buried in the floor so at night they shine like the stars. It was so stunningly beautiful and magical! What an idea!

I swear I will definitely go stay at this place next year! It's a must!

That's pretty much how I spent my Christmas in 2011. I had such a great time.
More to come is my birthday party, including the last parcel of birthday present for myself! It has arrived safe and sound after a long wait.
Merry belated X'mas! Hope you spent the precious time with your love ones!

XOXO

Travel with Jaspal

Hello bloggers!
I've been gone (literally) for a while due to work and work and more work!
After working almost 8 days in a roll last week, I finally got 4 days off from 4-7 December. How did I spend my long weekend? Doing what I love most...
LAZY TRAVELING!

I guess you all have heard about Phuket as it's the most well-known spot of Thailand, second from Bangkok. But to me it's like an outer space! I'm not a sea-sun-sand girl, like, at all, so southern of Thailand is never on my mind.

But a very special deal from Citi Bank credit card for Platinum card holder brought me here eventually. Anantara Phuket Villa Resort, a 5 star luxury hotel and a member of LHW is where I spent 3 days and 2 nights. I've got so much to wow about one of the finest resorts I've been to but It's gonna take ages so for now I would just make a quick review about this trip's fashion.

If you've been reading my earlier entries about travelling, you would have noticed most of my outfits are from Jaspal. It's like a ritual to me, buying new Jaspal's stuff just for trips. But this time I've gone so far buying a whole swimming suit!

So here you go, my Phuket trip Jaspal runway.

Dress : Leopard backless dress by Jaspal
Shoes : Jeffrey Campbell
Watch : Juicy Couture
Beach Bag : Hotel's

This was taken right in front of resort's spa zone. The bamboo scenery gives somewhat Chinese jungle feeling, not at all what you expect from a resort by the sea. It's actually my very first leopard print outfit ever. This backless dress made me feel a bit sexy and daring,as if I wanna jump into the forest and roar! LOL and the print kind of complimented my tanned skin naturally. Big surprise.

A view from my pool villa.

wearing new idiom bangle "This is the year to..." from Kate Spade too.

Usually I don't wear lipstick much but this one is my favorite, heat-wave by Nars. Got it from Berlin Airport last summer.

Take a bow :) The dress is silky smooth I can't help touching it!

I love this Thai ancient village view so much! Am I dressing properly for the whole picture? LOL

In the night...

The entrance, decorated by Christmas lights. Mystery yet dreamy.

One rarely sees my hair up like this : p

Under the Christmas tree with the reindeer. ( can you tell it's one?)

Next outfit, which actually was what I wore the first day.

Dress : Pink chiffon dress by Jaspal
Ring : Anna Sui limited edition ring rouge
Earring : Squirrel earrings from Boudoir by Disaya

This was taken quiet unprepared so I looked pretty confused with breezy wind ballooning by dress LOL. Love this pinky dress with the flowers detail (which, from this point of view, looks more like butterflies) at the bottom and the sexy neck.

This is how the ring rouge looks in close up. It's Japan limited, very very rare. ( The original black one is out of stock for good, too)
glitter pink gloss inside. I don't use it, just wear it only :)

 By the main pool.
At the coffee club cafe, having raspberry mousse cake. In this pic you can see my earrings a bit clearer.

Made from swarofski's crystal surrounding a pink squirrel, these are just the most adorable earrings I own. Disaya is another talented Thai designer I'm very fond of. Her jewelry is a playful design of crystal with originality and creativity.

By the sea. Wearing Anna Sui's lip gloss no. 603.

Jeffery Campbell on the sand. Not so practical, right? LOL

Last day of the trip, I wore...

Top : Geometric print top by Jaspal
Shorts : Pastel pink shorts by Jaspal
Bag : Kate Spade little bow bridge kennedy in natural

This isn't the latest collection. I bought it from summer sale but haven't had a chance to wear it yet.

I'm so crazy in love with this bag. My last entry will give you all the detail about this early birthday present :)
In front of the lobby. Someone should have told me my ribbon was untied! LOL

 With a hat on.
I tried on my latest make up purchase, Urban Decay 15 Anniversary palette. blending about 4 or 5 colors of pink and coral shades in. I'm still a beginner for eyeshadow, but it was fun trying.

Last of all, (starting to wonder why so many pictures in one post??), my new swimming suit.

Swimming Suit : Floral one piece by Jaspal.

One piece, I must scream!! I don't even remember the last time wearing one! Not that I'm confident with my body or anything but I've been costumed to two piece swimming suit for a long time.
When I saw this vintage print one, I fell in love! Its 60s print is just as right. Like the ones they used to wear in the postcards or advertisement 5 decades ago.

The strap is unadjustable so it's slightly too long, showing a bit too much of my flesh. Or it's just me being overweight? LOL the latter, definitely.

Well, that's pretty much a summary of my outfit throughout this Phuket trip. I had fun trying some new styles such as leopard print, new eye shadow shades, Jeffery shoes. And Kate Spade's new bag has been a very pleasant thing to carry or just to look at!

Stay tuned for the full trip review which should be following soon. For now, working saturday awaits! Good night!

A very Kate Spade birthday

No, it's not my birthday yet.
I'm not turning 25 until 27th of December, which is like a month away.
But...I got myself something already. Something I call "Early birthday presents"
(Happens every year since I can remember, though hahaha)

I've been waiting for them to arrive from the United States and yesterday, on Thanks Giving morning...
Kate Spade came knocking at my door!

I did some shopping at their friends and family sale last month (of course with a help from my friend since they don't accept international credit cards) and got myself these gorgeous stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you..
Little Bow Bridge Kennedy in natural!
This bag was love at first sight and has been on my wish list since I laid my eyes on fall campaign many months ago. Now it's finally mine!
I can't express in words... the color, the cube shape, the bow...this little thing is just PERFECT!

This bag is made of smooth natural leather with crossbody strap with a bow that adds a femininity to its cool masculine cube. The name comes from Central Park which has a bow bridge as its focal point. A sudden feeling of going to Central Park strikes me! Wanna carry this beautiful bag while taking a walk there...in autumn...someday!

Next is the eyeglasses key fob

With a crystal on the right of the glasses, this simply makes the cutest key holder ever. I doubt if I will use it, because it's just too cute! LOL

And here is the 2012 calendar and schedule book, all original prints by Florence Broadhurst, an Australian artist. I've always been using Sanrio or Disney ones, it's time I grow up a bit :)

Inside there are iconic designs with an aim for each month. December, my birth month is to go for a spin.
And October is a month to be curious as a cat.  I wonder why. LOL

Last but not least,  I proudly present you...
The signature idiom bangle 2012 "This is the year to.."
Every year this Kate sends out idiom bangles to encourage every girl to live colorfully in Kate Spade way. And 2012 is the year to...
Be curious as a cat
Lose yourself in a good book
Add a twist
Play your cards right
Make sparks fly

Wow, sounds to me 2012 is gonna be a great wonderful year!
Taking a time machine back to last year, I had an idiom bangle for my new year present. 2011 version is called "This year I will.."
This one has been my daily wear ever since I got it. My friend Kim Yang Jin sent it to me from Korea :)
It says...
Read the classics
Conquer the souffle
Learn to Cha-Cha
Take up the trumpet
Fall head over heels

2011 is gonna be over in a month and it's a shame I haven't accomplished any of those T^T Hope I do better in 2012, especially the"Fall head over heels"part!

So, here you go, my very Kate Spade birthday presents!
But if you think that's all, no, it's not!
Another parcel is yet to come and it's no other but my birthday present! What a greedy girl, but, well, it's the least I deserve for working so hard all year long!
Be sure to stay tuned and see what the last present is!

For now I'll go to bed, telling myself "I'm the happiest girl in the world!"
Thank you, Kate Spade, for making my life so wonderful :)
Happy Thanks giving and happy holidays to all of you! Cheers!
