When the going gets tough and the tough gets going, sometimes all you need is a clean break from everything.
I'm recalling one of my greatest breaks, my trip to Hua Hin last August.
Our destination was Riad Boutique hotel, at Kao Takieab beach, a little further from the city area.
My very first experience with Moroccan style resort.
The name "Riad" means garden in Arabic.

Here we are, the hot yellow shade brightens my trip already!
The lobby
The swimming pool in the middle of the building

I was truly madly in love with them! They are just, sooooo KAWAII !!!
And here are my photos from the trip. All the credit goes to my companion, Por chan (^^)/
In the bedroom :)
The swimming pool in the middle of the building
Our room, sleeping cat, is the largest with Jacuzzi, located right in front of the pool on the first floor.
The other 2 are sitting cat and standing cat types.
The owner is very fond of cats so you will find them smiling at you in every corner!
And of course the real super duper adorable ones, too. MEOW!!
We are Siamese if you're pleased! LOL

Dress : Jaspal floral maxi dress
Hand bag : Anna Sui
Accessories : Kate Spade "This year I will" bangle
Gucci watch
Anna Sui ring rouge
Flower head band I got at the bus stop just before the trip!
To tell the truth it was the first time I wear maxi dress. When I saw this one at Jaspal, with no reasons I couldn't resist it! I didn't even try it on! LOL
After a long girl talk by the day bed and some refreshing drinks, we got on the bicycles and rode to the beach, had a big meal of seafood!
After a little ride to explore the near by area, we came back to the hotel.
The hotel at night
At first we planned to go swimming but there was a happening. They were holding Hua Hin Jazz festival in town and probably overused the electricity, our area was blackout for a couple of hours!!But we were not at all upset about this.
On the contrary, we took our sparkling wine up to the moon deck and "cheers!!". The black out made the night sky more starry than ever.
It was a very precious moment I wanna capture in a frame forever.
What more can you ask for?
Yes, you can always ask more for a bubble bath in a Jacuzzi!! LOL
That night we had another long talk about our future, love, life, passion.
It's so nice to have someone you can share your thoughts so openly to.
Good morning new day!
Day 2
I got this one like a steal from their summer sale. There was only one left and it was size 10, way too big for a 4 girl like me. But I really really wanted it so!
And here's my review of this spectacular trip.
Accommodation : ★★★★1/2
Food : ★★★
Service : ★★★★★
Price : ★★★★
This small boutique hotel truly impressed me! The architecture, the color, the furnishing were very unique, making me feel as if I was really in the middle east. The cats characteristics decoration was just adorable. And YAY for the bicycles!! The hotel was quite and you can feel the privacy of your stay. The only sadness (not for me,though) is that it's not beach front. You have to take a 10 minute walk to reach the beach.
The owner provided friendly hospitality. All through our stay she played only songs from the 80s. Those were the melodies of my childhood that I can still hum along. It did compliment this trip. Stephen Bishop's " It might be you" was my favorite from her playlist. I can never put in words how much I love this song. Seriously, out of 10 billions songs I've known all my life, this one is sure in the top ten. TIMELESS.
The hotel had no restaurant, only a small kitchen where they cook breakfast for the guests. Well, I was full with the happiness already I needed no food! LOL
The price was very reasonable, 3,500 baht per night for the sleeping cat room, breakfast included.
Over all, I rate this hotel 4 stars and a half.
Definitely going back and highly recommend you guys to pay a visit. It's a perfect place for holiday, especially if you adore cats!
Thank you Riad, for such an unforgettable weekend.
Thank you Por chan for being the sweetest companion and for the photos.
Oh, if you need to know, during our trip she suddenly encouraged me to start blogging.
So here I am!
Make sure you check out her blogs about cooking, sewing and passion for fashion too!
This evening I'm heading back to Bangkok to see if everything is alright there. I might take my mom back to stay with me here too if the flooding gets worse.Praying for things to settle down soon. I miss my home like crazy! Have a twirly weekend!
